I haven't been to 5 concerts because I don't have concert going money. But. . .
A friend in high school took me to see Poison.
I got free tickets once for Sting.
And the one show I paid my own money to see was Eric Idol sings Monty Python when he came to SF, and Robin Williams made a cameo.

When it gets really cold bluebirds roost together in a pile using collective body heat to help them survive. They arrange themselves so they don’t smother & alternate positions within the pile. One year when we had aunts and cousins and such over and everyone wanted to pitch in.
"Who put marshmallows in the oven?"
Someone had put the (white plastic) bowl of bread crumbs in there to get it out of the way and someone else came along and preheated without looking inside.
yes, hello, I would like to place an order for everyone’s funniest stories of holiday food-related family grudges / drama / chaotic incidents / lore

Panda is being a bad patient and won't leave her incision alone. To give her a break from the cone we got her pajamas. She doesn't like them, but she's adorable.

the biggest lesson from the emails today is that powerful people are so unafraid of consequences for crimes as bad as “raping children” that they will just talk about it openly in emails

the only path to a better society is one where that is no longer true

I'm 51 and was in a children's hospital in Ohio when I was a kid, and I don't think it was new then. So I just looked it up and it was established in 1894!

I changed a character name mid-manuscript. Really appreciated catching that embarrassment.
repost this if an editor has ever saved you from yourself
An actual hot take: Too many authors are afraid of editors watering down their voice or whatever and not afraid enough of editors letting you put any old slop on the page.

As the people who insist otherwise try to burn the country, it's important to affirm that immigrants, from everywhere, are awesome, and America is better the more immigrants we have. You have to be just empty and vapid and unimaginably small to reject that.
