Lutherans (like me) agree with that :-)

My impression is that Lutherans also have the same division, but it seems less extreme in general. I tend to think that it has to do with the fact that Lutheran Reformation was more moderate since the very beginning.

Particularly if trickle down effects are meager and there are no actual compensation schemes (say a welfare state). But this is probably one among many factors.

Not really. It's a Hario v60, Japanese technology. You can make weak good coffee using that (given some conditions). And it is easy. I should not say more because a barista may come here and say i am wrong.
