Gődel has the right idea, but if you look at the path he drew, he wasn't strict/rigorous with the orientation of that path.
If he HAD been rigorous with the orientation, he would have realized that it requires 2 FULL ROTATIONS 720° to complete the surface.

I think it is an error to see our concious self as "the interior world". This ignores all the decisions your body makes before concious thought.
