I love Digging for Britain and got to experience my own version of it this week. Under a former car park, they’ve unearthed some interesting finds - especially as they didn’t expect to find anything!

As I spend a lot of time driving around Cheshire, I often see places I want to visit when I have the time. Yesterday I went to one of those places - the half-timbered St James and St Paul's Church near Congleton. Sadly only part of it was open but what a magnificent building!

Full hi vis PPE today for a visit to a Victorian signal box. Network Rail have been working on a multimillion-pound upgrade of the signalling system around Crewe over the Christmas period - watch on North West Tonight on BBC One this evening at 6:20pm

I've been in Alsager which is one of a number of areas in Cheshire where parking charges have come in this week. Some businesses have concerns about the charges coming in during the pre-Christmas period - listen on BBC Radio Stoke in the morning.
