It’s striking that I missed J Mascis and Dinosaur Jr back in the day, given how influential they were on bands I like. I see that I was tuned in to some who influenced them, most especially Meat Puppets. This cluster of appreciation is fun.

The movie _Ash_ was plenty fun. Lots of electronic music, as one might guess; sound design ranged from good to great, sometimes really out there; dramatic color work; thick cluster of tropes that never impeded. Often felt like a video game, but that’s not a complaint!
