I learned Spanish immersively and a lot of it had to do with finding other words for things until I could ask someone or look up the term for something. It helped me a lot.

Please tell me you do Swanday on a regular basis. I’m a huge fan of them. And they’re very young around here.

It hasn’t helped me.

I had decades of “what the heck is wrong with me?” before finding that I got violently ill at breakfast and loved eating eggs and toast at breakfast.

I have a friend who went to Canada because the US dismissed the credible threat against her family in El Salvador. She’s alive because Canada looked at murder and called it a threat. I’ve known for two decades that this is where the US thinks those who should just give up and die should be kept.

I want to make the family member who gloats that computers will replace me as an author watch the episode.

My friend had her husband’s visa to the US revoked at the airport when they were moving the whole family. His family had to leave without him and he had to stay with friends. After weeks of the US refusing to let him in and their daughters being convinced they’d never see daddy again, they 1/2

Watch Readswithrachel on YouTube. She documents what it’s like to raise kids in that state and what republicans are trying to force through.

When I went to Istanbul, I saw tiny streets and alleys heading up from this one road, so I picked one and walked up its cobblestones. There, I found a store of Turkish delight, wonderful art, and clothing that was better quality than at the bazaar for better prices. I love alleys.

I grew up in Massachusetts and all the Kathryns had to have an identifying nickname. Florida hates individuals so collectively.

Vaguely reminds me of the friend who realized she can get me through panic attacks by making me discuss my work in progress in detail. It helps me redirect what makes my brain feel like it’s exploding.
