I feel like Team fortress 2 is the only time that's ever been the case

Even StarCraft 2 was balanced mostly with eSports in mind, well there's also melee but it's so janky it's on par with a lot of the sweatiest e sports games unintentionally

I mean had it not released with the issues it had it very well could have, it certainly dented the OW2 population at the start and OW2 helped that further with it's own launch problems, but it quickly fell off when OW2 fixed most of it's launch bugs and GEvo didn't

Coupled the character locking with 2 of them being very meta and it shared OWs really awful matchmaking balance I remember one of the maps just being insanely anti offense, ontop of some mobile suits being a little to lore accurate to their detriment

To be fair it wasn't the fans fault with Evo, it took months to fix the glitch that prevented people from using their primary fire, and some mobile suits on some people it was like 8/10 failed registrations, units were basically pay locked and require in insane amount of grinding, Bandai messed up

the day after feeling like you never even got a wink is the worst

More games should make hi-res or shaders as free dlc so their optional, personally they aren't worth the bloated space and load times

I finally got around to playing it and the Nikke devs are just the definition of mad, just shoving gameplay complete games that could be stand alone for free, into their gacha game, I aspire for that level of developer insanity. AND THE PIXEL ART IS GORGEOUS
