Having been raised by a librarian, I have so much love & respect for these invaluable public spaces. My 1st job was working the front desk at my local library. Please get a library card & go learn just how many resources libraries can offer. Patronage helps keep them open, & it’s free.
My 80-year-old aunt told me she "got tired of streaming" and is borrowing DVDs from her library again.
So I checked it out and they have an amazing selection. Blu-rays too, from Criterion, Kino Lorber and other boutique labels.

I went to dReadcon this weekend and after a few conversations with publishers and authors I can confidently say: it matters to them that you read a book. They love that you got it from the library. A book club pick? Amazing! Let them know you liked something and they’ll keep it coming!

Well. I did not expect to wake up to the apocalypse, but here we are. I still love my American family, I do not love the rich people in power in the US who forced us into this position.

I tapped out 2000 words in a new short story today and as I was saving, I spotted a file I didn’t recognize. Opened it and the first two paragraphs and it’s a short story I barely remember working on. Is it done? Is it good? I don’t know because I had to work on supper.
