Please read: the legally correct decision isn’t always the moral one.
Justice Jackson (who is a better lawyer than I will ever be) made the best decision she thought she could under the circumstances. But we cannot ignore or downplay that as a result, people will continue to be hungry, and "but she made the best decision she could" won't feed them.

Congratulations to all of us. What I find incredible - because I’m a sap - is how many people said that they’re “finally hoping”, that “it’s a break from the clouds”, someone even used the term “collective exhale”. This is how a movement is built. It’s now our role to capitalize on it.

If we had lost Virginia, there was a very real chance that we’d be losing abortion access in the state, which would be a disaster especially for us in DC, which couldn’t possibly absorb all those patients.

Looks like the Dems will pick up 12 seats in the VA House of Delegates, which will go from 51-49 to 63-37 D-R. That's an honestly shocking result.

It’s time we call out the responsibility such statements have, north and south. Those are enabling - run afoul of our legal obligations under IHRL - and propelling violence against persons as a means to express political dissent. It’s more than irresponsible: it’s unacceptable
