Whelp, suspicions have been confirmed & Lemon8 has gone dark alongside Tiktok. Thank goodness,I had the foresight to branch out to other bookish avenues before the ban took effect. Now to try to rebuild my follower base.

I decided the best & most appropriate way to cope with the impending TikTok bans was to order more books to hopefully kick start my Bookstagram(don't come at me). Might look into YouTube if I can figure out how to make content without showing my face(gotta love self esteem issues).

Anybody else find it interesting that in this age of book bannings that media literacy has gone out the door? In the lead up to the release of the Wicked movie, I've seen so many librarians & parents encouraging young Ariana Grande fans to read the book without realizing how dark the themes are

Being a book goblin who also lives with chronic pain definitely isn't easy. Especially when the chronic pain is in one of your hands & hands are kinda necessary for holding either a Kindle or a physical book. Hopefully the braces I got yesterday will do the trick till I see a surgeon in 2025.

Reaching out to make your trans friends feel loved is important to do everyday but especially today.

Weekly reads for November 18-24th

Slowly working my way through this months TBR pile by reading Quicksilver along with Hades and Persephone Threads of Fate which is the latest ARC I've received from Book Siren's.

Thanks to the killer Black Friday sale at Book Outlet, I was able to get 2 book trophies(Fourth Wing & Iron Flame) as well as the start of my winter TBR pile. I've heard good things about the Filthy Rich Vampire series so I might start that after my current read.
