I was proud to stand up for our city in DC & able to do so effectively bc of the hardworking team who made the trip. Don’t have a private jet to transport everyone, but that also means there are no Qs about whether my family & I are profiting off Trump’s mass deportation policies.

Public projects rightly deserve scrutiny & too many stadium projects have left taxpayers in the lurch.

As noted this wk in @globeopinion.bsky.social, I’ve been a fierce critic of bad deals for Boston—not stopping now. Here’s how our White Stadium plans will set new standards for public benefit 🧵
I hear that some are comparing #NWSL White Stadium overrun to the Big Dig.

Turn over your #Boston card immediately, you nob. Did you move here Sept 1?

Big Dig lasted 25 yrs, had a cost overrun of 190%, $14.1b over. Also Milena Del Valle died.

White stadium city estimate is $41m over.

Boston is home to 47 miles of coastline.

We need to invest in protecting our coast from the effects of climate change and creating more jobs for Boston's working families.

That's why we're launching the Greater Boston Climate and Coastal Resilience Workforce Alliance with $9.8M from NOAA. (1/4)
