Everyone out here trying to solve the Louvre heist when it’s clearly the British Museum:
-Overdue to steal someone’s history
-Really good at it for several centuries
-British never miss an opportunity to fuck with the French

For major weather, my WCM at NWS has my work, and personal cell numbers, along with my 24/7 duty officer. All phones are FirstNet for reliability.

We utilize NIXLE and RAVE alerting and we cross register with our surrounding areas so an alert from one hits all of us.
People of Greysky: Following the discussion of warning systems after the Texas flood, I'm wondering what alert systems YOU use for YOURSELF. Would it adequately alert you to a middle of the night sudden onset event?

You guys want to keep losing $166M a quarter? Keep being this useless to customers…

If you ever doubt exactly how insanely dangerous and difficult space is, read this account from Astronauts Wilmore and Williams about their experience with Starliner. Anyone who needs to ask if astronauts are built a little different after this is crazy:

Starliner’s flight to the space station was far wilder than most of us thought
“Hey, this is a very precarious situation we’re in.”…

It’s simple math for @democrats.org to reverse the mess:
-Ditch CA actors as surrogates
-Grow a spine and play the same game as GOP is in public relations; no more “we go high (and lose so goddamn always)”
-Return to core values of pro-union, pro-middle class.

Sen. Michael Bennet says the Democratic Party's brand is 'problematic'
In an interview with NBC News’ “Meet the Press,” the Democratic senator from Colorado said his party needs to “show up with some imagination” in the future.

Tonight our 11 year old black lab, and prolific cuddler Bandit, passed away suddenly while engaged in his favorite past time: snuggling my wife.
He came home at 8 weeks, and only days later my MIL passed away. His cuddly nature got her through the worst times.

RIP to one hell of a good boy.

So much this. Had a friend get divorced recently, and she had no idea it was possible to orgasm from sex because it’d never happened in her 20+ year relationship. She’d always been left to use a toy.

I blue-screened when she was saying this, but apparently it’s way too common.
I thought I hated sex for almost 20 years.

Turns out it wasn't the sex I hated, it was the person I was doing it with.
Men who claim women don’t like sex need to understand that we just don’t like it with them lol

In case anyone needs further proof that the American credit rating system is a scam designed to keep people in crippling debt, please see that @experian-us.bsky.social has become a vendor of predatory pay-day style loans. Advertising these while controlling approval ratings should be illegal.

Bluesky now has over 10 million users, and I was #151,302!

Im frankly amazed I was in the first 200,000

I’m really bad at posting (clearly, since it’s been 6mo).
Happy to say still kicking around. Took a new job, got a new car, planning a vacation, all that stuff. Planning to be around here more

One of the hardest things I’ve found with getting into Bluesky is many of my friends like @duchesssexpert.bsky.social haven’t embraced it either. Lots of folks I miss are on Twitter but morality really makes using that platform hard to consider. This is not the social dilemma we needed 😂

15 days (12 of them planned, the remaining 3 FU to Boeing) later we are finally back home from our Caribbean trip. Lots of fun, but definitely a few headaches to, but that’s what makes vacations an adventure.

One thing I have quickly learned in my time visiting Miami; I will drive a car through hell and out the other side, but I will never drive here.

Starting a 3-week much needed vacation. Won’t see my office again until January 11th. It’s been a long, productive year but the next four months are going to be peak chaos so this will be a nice breather before diving back into it.

Whats the hardest part of my job?
Dealing with multi-million dollar disasters frequently?
Dealing with corralling dozens of agencies into joint projects?
Training responders on nightmare scenarios?

None of the above. It's writing a presentation abstract for a conference.

As of today, I am 100% on Bluesky only for my skeeting/tweeting experience. The issues at the other site finally got too much and I am fully gone.

So horrible news for all of you, you’re now stuck seeing me a whole lot more here and not just when major events happen!

Any tips for working long days but still getting a workout in after? I’ve been in the EOC all week and missing my usual gym time, and by the time I’m out after 10-12hours I’m exhausted and unmotivated. Never been a morning workout person, especially not lifting.
