Today, we presented our project on learning from past experiences with impact assessment integrations at the STS Conference Graz. We claim that fundamental rights impact assessments can contribute to an inclusive AI accountability ecosystem.

Lena Pohlmann is the last of our student research assistants; she also studies philosophy of technology in her master's program at the Technische Universität Berlin. She is interested in algorithmic fairness and currently researches algorithmic impact assessments.

Another one of our student research assistents is Laurenz Sachenbacher! He is studying philosophy of technology in his master's program at the Technische Universität Berlin and is interested in the structural embeddedness of AI systems from a philosophical perspective.

In our “Data Feminism” Reading Group today we will explore objectivity, truth, and rationality myths. We will discuss the myth of ground truth by reading an essay by Lora Aroyo and Chris Welty and rationality, with a paper by Helen Longino about feminist critiques of rationality!
