Hot take: If after five years of a pandemic you work in healthcare and you haven’t absorbed the concept of viral aerosols, you are too self-centered, ego-driven, and ill-informed to work in a position caring for others. Wear a mask; prove me wrong.

One reason why able-bodied folk fear and want to hide away disabled people is because we function as a sort of Ghost of Christmas future, unsettling harbinger of what’s to come. Transferring blame for lack of access is also much easier when you don’t have to say it to anyone’s face.
