"Gritty, gutsy, unexpected - and always groovy - the guitar highlights of David Bowie’s work are many. But what was it like to work with such a mercurial talent? We spoke with some of the extraordinary guitarists who worked with him, who share their memories of adding their sound to his vision."

“What would this look like if it was easy?”

I decided to keep this powerful Tim Ferriss quote in mind today as I worked towards my next self-imposed creative deadline.

And guess what…?

(It worked.)

End-of-day report: completed one of two new music things. YAY!

What quotes/mantras help you?

The live premier of the Lacunas Music Society (www.lacunas.co.uk) was magical. The vocals of Blythe Duff and Yvonne Lyon (yvonnelyonmusic.com) blended beautifully. Jon Hargreaves (keys) and Cameron Maxwell (bass) anchored the set. Malcolm Lindsay's guitar shimmered mid-air. Complex & emotional.

Hidden on a back stairwell at Glasgow's wonderful #Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery is one of my favourite paintings - "North Corridor" by David Evans, painted in 1979. The light in this painting is wonderful.
