That justplainbob from over there. Retired Minnesotan who abides in Stately Moffitt Manor with Mrs. Lungs.
Come on, James Bond coming back from the dead is hardly new. #007Heaven

When Mrs. Lungs and I did the Circle Tour, we actually made Whitefish Bay.

I, for one, welcome our spider overlords.

Seriously, can they really be worse than what we have now?

Today's library haul: Killers of the Flower Moon, a nonfiction story of real murders and Marble Hill Murders, a cozy fictional murder mystery.

She's the hateful face of the lawsuit, but yeah, a former KY county clerk has neither the brains, cash, or legal chops to bring a case like this to the Supremes. For all the good it did them.

PS: These people never quit trying to take away other people's rights, so remain vigilant.

One this day of failed revolution, I decided to re-watch Les Misérables. I'm not sure I can hear the people sing, tho.

The cafe at our student union is long gone, I believe, but there was one brief scene filmed there in the Breaking Away movie. It was usually more peaceful than this.

In 1987, Gene Hackman played a Secretary of Defense who was a paranoid adulterous murderer, and he STILL was better pick for the job than Pete Hegseth.

Here's one the the pieces we saw today. It's from the Cheech Marin (yes, THAT Cheech Marin) Center for Art & Culture at the Riverside Art Museum.

Duluth Hotdish for dinner tonight, so named because that's where we first had it and our host gave us the recipe.

This morning Mrs. Lungs & I went out for bagels and coffee and visited Shoreview's Cafesjian Art Trust Museum for the 1st time.

The primary exhibit featured the wildly original work of Einar and Jamex de la Torre, artists & bros. It included a glass sculpture of Prince, imagined as a stag deer.

One of the oddest things I learned was "Gleanings in Bee Culture" was the first publication to print a firsthand, accurate account of a Wright Brothers flight. That publication still exists today, with a shorter title.

I'm re-reading David McCullough's bio of the Wright Bros, and it's even better than I remembered it.

What a great thread! My office used to be near this church, which I didn't know was a CG until now. I DID know that he designed the Dayton Ave Presbyterian Church, a block away from our office. This is it.

Stay sharp. If I have learned anything from these people, it's this line from the 1st Terminator movie.

Righty-tighty people who FINALY watch the Rocky Horror Picture Show after years of believing it to be pervert porn are surprised to learn that it is a goofy little oddity with no nudity, almost no profanity, and very catchy tunes and dance steps.

Watching a piece of women in WW2 last night, I was struck by what Soviet sniper Lyudmila Pavlichenko told reporters in Chicago during a 1942 propaganda tour.

"I have killed 309 fascist invaders. Aren't you getting tired of hiding behind my back?" #antifa

The only election results I worry about tomorrow are the school boards. These fly under the radar of far too many people, allowing the worst sort of whackos getting seats on boards.

Picked up this book from the U of M Press at the library today, and it's a good as I thought it would be. Stories and recipes from local immigrants from all over the world.

Here's one not far from me, in Andover MN. It's still standing.
