They don't want a level playing field. That would be terrifying. They want their priviledge.

I think it's more insidious than just a distraction. It's a tool to build righteous indignation and fear. If people are afraid, they are easier to control.

I keep reminding myself that fear is a potent tool. I hope that people are not that amoral.
