I’m here for the critters. Posting my furry, feathery and other Colorado suburban neighbors. Also friends I meet on my travels. 🦋🐰🐺🦝🦨🐿️
The #Coyotes came by again last night. This time just passing through.

Oh-oh I'm in trouble with the Jays. I dumped the soggy leaves out of the water dish but forgot to refill it. I'll try to do better next time.

#BunnyChase Looks like a territorial dispute

After danger has passed, #Bunny's ears unfold very slowly.
It can be wise at times of threat to just make yourself invisible

I love our little yard #Bunny. Those antenna ears and wiggly nose. Aren't they the cutest 😍

Latest news in the Acorn Chronicles:

I found some acorns when I was out walking. Brought them home and put out a couple for squirrel.
This morning #BlueJay showed up to say 👋 and managed to fit one in his beak and carry it off. They are really hard. I hope Jay can crack the shell.

A pair of #coyotes trotted through the yard. Mated pairs often hunt together to support the family group and raise pups, but recent coyote sightings in the yard have been solo. It's a treat to see these fine looking animals.

Looks like a young #redFox. Haven't seen one around in a few months. But there have been more bunnies around recently. Correlation or causation?

This is a first!
I had never seen a #Bobcat in our suburban neighborhood before. Cropped the videos to better see this gorgeous feline.

Tuesday it rained ALL day! That 'never' happens in Colorado. But the #Raccoon family was happy to get out after the rain grubbing for earthworms.

Bon appétit mes amis! 🦝🦝🦝🦝🦝🪱🪱🪱🪱

4 times normal speed. I hope they're not offended but I was amused.

The cleanup crew shows up after the rain to collect earthworms.
As always after a rain the sprinklers come on and little guy gets to run through the water.

Acorn Chronicles #2
Put another acorn out for #Squirrel. That night #Skunk knocked it into the water. I put it back. #Raccoon came and tried to eat it. Now there are shreds of acorn in the water dish.

My favorite is this wonky star. I made a scrappy practice star first that I love before making this star quilt with fussy cut Tula Pink animal squares for the centers. It was a gift for my niece going off to university.

We don't feed the critters because it's bad for them. But it's so tempting to catch them being cute eating treats.
Found an acorn and I figured it was ok to put it out for #Squirrel. Here they are sweetly nibbling. Guess it was very filling so they had to bury the leftovers for later.

Young #Raccoon stops by to check out the yard.
Oh, don't they grow up so fast. Just a kit a few weeks ago and now they're independent and self-reliant. 🦝😍

My crittercam sometimes doesn't do the color well, but I'm excited that it finally caught a closeup of one of our hummers.
Sound WAY UP to hear little hummer chirps!! 🔊🔊
