I think the only reason why it didn't get a downgrade is because of Xenia's antics throughout the film. It's weird how that wasn't as much of a problem back in the day but it's probably not all that surprising since it mixes violence with sexual undertones.

Honestly, I think that's the sole reason why it hasn't been downgraded. It probably doesn't seem particularly acceptable at the current 12 guidelines.

Even if that wasn't the case, the fact that the new HP series feels like it's being made solely out of pure spite on Rowling's part would be enough to not wanna bother with it.

I feel the same way but that said, even if I don't necessarily like a film, I still usually appreciate the craftsmanship on display regardless of how big or small the budget may be.

Saw it yesterday and I felt the same way. The entire third act is so poignant and moving, but that last scene feels really out of place... even if I am intrigued to see how they follow up with it in the next one.
