Lost a good friend today. Ilija (pronounced Illeeya) he took care of me during a peacekeeping tour in Bosnia. He opened his heart, took me in as 1 of his family. Despite the horrors he went through, he remained a loving soul. He will be missed. He will reunite with his wife in everlasting peace. 💙

My grandpa came back from WW2 he became a man of peace and taught us about "The man next to you", he told me stories of courage and how some were shamefully treated because they were different. He taught me to respect everybody. I try and be "The man next to you" every day. Grandpa and me.
