It’s almost like I don’t care about the economics, I can’t get my head around a species that goes ‘right, our home is on fire and if we don’t sort it out, we, and all our children, our grandchildren and the future of humanity is doomed’, and the response is ‘ooh, seems a bit pricey’ 😡

Also, ‘if you were Keynes…’, well he’s not, and what Zack is saying is that the economy is what is directing our efforts in completely the wrong directions. Do we want Keynesian economics or a planet to live on???

Rory, so frustrating. I know people need to be challenged, but for someone so worried about climate change, why do you keep questioning what solving it ‘would cost’? How does that question balance against the cost of not doing it, i.e. the end of humanity. Money is a construct, it’s not real!

When did the term ‘supporter’ lose all meaning? Even on bluesy every other comment is how ‘criminal’ our display was, it feels like some fans are first and foremost critics and supporters second. We are top of every league we are in FFS!!!

Now we’re getting somewhere! I 100% identify man, that’s Arsenal fandom dna. We are hardwired to worry, and trust me I do all the time - but I have an inkling today was ok. Not ideal, but ok. Mate you support the Arsenal, win or lose it’s something to be proud of. Please don’t stress though. COYG!

Logic has nothing to do with emotion, which is what’s driving your hyperbole and overreaction. ‘Conceding the first goal to a ten man side is’, and I quote, ‘fucking criminal’. It’s not even a misdemeanour. It’s just sport. I appreciate your passion but sorry, I’m done with the negativity.

Logic would say yes you always win ten v eleven but that’s really not the case is it. We’ve had a hell of a run recently and still waiting for key players to come back, we are 5 points clear, and didn’t lose. I choose to see the positives and not get lost in negativity.

Think about that just for a second. Arsenal were ‘dreadful’ (I don’t think we were, but then I’m trying to tone down the hyperbole). And we still got a point (from behind btw), away to our closest title rivals. If you can’t see the logic in that pointing towards positivity, best of luck

Correlation does not equal causation, unless the person says it out loud then you can’t possible know of any direct relationship, and I suspect this situation is way more nuanced than you are making out. But you know that already, don’t you.

I quite often come back to a Ricky Gervais quote when it comes to issues in Society. ‘No, don’t ask the man on the street! Have you met the man on the street?!!!’ 😂 in all seriousness though, we in the Western world have learned to use an ‘if, then’ approach, which banishes nuance.
