I have a joke about carbon offsets but someone else is going to have to tell it to you and a third person is going to have to verify if it is funny while a fourth person argues that the second person was already going to tell the joke anyway
what's the most specifically funny joke you know. as in, you need to know or understand a subject to get why it's funny. the dad joke of your speciality, if you will

Great slide from @nataliejones.bsky.social This is the challenge of multilateral agreements. Not that all parties lack ambition, but that everything gets reduced to what will pass through the objections of the holdouts.
I'd like to share just one slide from my talk today at Cambridge, on the outcomes of #COP29. It shows all the draft proposals for fossil fuel-related decisions, to follow up on last year's historic energy consensus.

@nickhedley.bsky.social I see @ketanjoshi.co's latest piece cited the Progress Playbook. Not without some criticism, but glad to see it gaining some traction! For me, the key lesson is not deregulate everything. It's this: 'Rhodes says... “build it [transmission infrastructure] and they will come”'
