I find it as a spelling of "Guinees lijwaet", the Dutch/Flemish word for Guinea-cloth, Gujarati cloth exported to Africa. Cormontine is the port in modern Ghana, right?

The three-letter codes ("Zxx") are zones on the attached map. All of the "UNTIL 0330" notes are saying night shift is a skeleton crew, and staffing triggers are putting them on different rules, incl. things like Chicago (ZAU) doing "capping & tunneling".

I love how Emerson Tung has taken coastal defenses including tanks-on-rails (typically German/Nazi coded) and made them America/Japan coded, stripping them of the design elements that remind us of Nazis. The mech designs are great, too, evoking samurai by way of enlisted Cold-War-era tank crews.

For some reason, my FiOS set-top box has been doing DNS lookups (?!) on "sonx.mediasearch.verizon.com" once per second nonstop. I figured it got into some kind of desperation state, and let its query go through for 30 seconds, but even after successfully resolving it keeps querying.

Got my RTL-SDR working and finally figured out how to get basic FM audio locked in and playing. I need a better antenna, but being able to grab this off the air felt pretty cool!

When I worked back-of-house at the beach restaurant, and we'd come through a busy Saturday 'slam' where all the tables got seated around 6pm, so all the orders hit at once... when we'd get through that surge, we'd take advantage of the lull to run into the walk-in freezer & scream together.

I can't speak for all ten-year-olds, but having a few sheets of this in the house and being able to print a full 8½"x11" sheet of Los Mr. Carrotitos temporary tattoos might be a HUGE HIT.
