Keeping up with the early Pre Production work on the Rex for JP, here are sketches for a rod puppet version of the Dino. The original intention seemed to have fully puppeted the dinosaur before switching to an Animatronic.

If you’ve watched Jurassic Park, you’ve seen this Tyrannosaurus rex. Found in 1966, LACM 23844 included a nearly-complete skull that was among the largest known. The individual rex is the basis of the “dueling dinosaurs” reconstruction at the museum and the rotunda rex in Jurassic Park. 🧪
