It's all weird, AI allows people to remain consumers under the guise of creating. They end up seeking the best of both worlds, the instant gratification of having Cool Thing instantly pop up in from of them and then getting pats on the back for it
there’s a long discussion to be had about how AI dipshits are /like this/ because they wanna cosplay as artists SO BAD and it’s not even because they wanna BE artists, it’s because they see artists as like, social media success symbols? Idk someone smarter than me can put it better

Yesterday my partner and I counted all the ads along Chicago's Brown Line for "Friend," a company selling an AI chatbot pendant, and tallied how many of those ads were defaced.
Still working on a longer piece on this, but here's the quick and dirty: we counted 104 "Friend" ads total, 42 defaced.
