The new Environmental Improvement Plan has been launched today.

It is an ambitious plan to restoring nature & protecting the environment for future generations.

Also announced is £500m announced for recovery projects.

The Labour government have granted permission for the creation of another off-shore windfarm.

This one is the Morecambe Offshore Windfarm in the Irish Sea.

It is expected to have a capacity of 480MW - equivalent of over half a million homes.

Who benefits from changes made in this budget?

Low-income families with children, particularly with three or more children, are clear winners.

In 2028-29, a low-wage single parent with 3 children who receives UC will be £4,960 per year better off, thanks to the removal of the two-child limit.

Legal aid was decimated under the Tories.

In the last year, Labour have supported the system with small pots of funding in specific areas.

But following a major review and consultation on funding, they have today announced an increase of £92m more funding to rebuilt after years of neglect!
