Working with Iguanas & eDNA 🦎🧬
I'm happy to share that my master's thesis has been published 🎉 We developed a terrestrial eDNA toolkit for iguana conservation🦎📜 Many thanks to all my co-authors for their contribution!

Safeguarding Iguana diversity: enabling rapid and low-effort tracking of non-native iguanas through terrestrial eDNA innovations - Biological Invasions
Reptiles have among the highest extinction risk across terrestrial vertebrates, with habitat fragmentation, habitat destruction, and invasive alien species being the primary causes of reptile species ...

New Preprint: here we developed a quick and easy terrestrial #eDNA approach for tracking invasive iguanas. Importantly it allows for amplifying bi-allelic SNPs, critical for monitoring potential hybridization! More on that front soon 😉
