Thanks for teaching me the word denigrate.

And also, a lot of development folk may take it for granted that you made this choice, but be ignorantly thankful.

Hi Carlos… If it’s any consolation, I never did consider myself as someone with much depth.

I think we all have our own quirks and I know what you mean. I can’t stand split down, but quite like split right.. As though splitting the screen vertically is somehow a gift while a horizontal split is a kick in the teeth. 🫢

split screen on one works just fine for me. I often use two tabs in obsidian with the same note being edited in different parts and paragraphs, both in a parallel.. By all means, if you have the toys, use them. There may be value in them for you.. but it's no game-changer in my eyes..

Right you are there. You can’t be trusting Auto-anything… That be like that Turbo button on the PCs that did nothing but mock you.

Haven’t used in a while, but I think I only liked the interface and found it a bit too hollow in terms of community, but I didn’t give it a serious chance tbh.

Goodreads could do with an overhaul, but I like its underlying data. I mostly access it from within Alfred on MacOS, so not too tedious

Don’t know about kids, but I still use it when looking up books. Less of that checking in and discussion stuff.

Although was trying out Fable a while back, seemed a rising star in that kinda space.

Let me know if you find a sweet spot.

Usually set new read goals each December.. :D
