JK Rowling got a full *decade* of press as a martyr for being "cancelled" (declared passe by people online) and meanwhile nobody considers it very interesting that a prominent left wing author is basically banned from entering or publishing in the United Kingdom for her politics
so this is like, one of the biggest free speech infringements by a western democracy in our lifetimes right?

I can only imagine his niece is as disappointed in him as every other LGBTQ+ individual in the UK, that he and his party are responsible for a rise in anti-trans sentiment creating a more hostile environment for LGBTQ+ generally.

Very proud of former Reform MP, James McMurdock. Who better to stand up for women and girls than a man sent to prison for repeatedly kicking his girlfriend?

The only truly irreversible thing a trans child is likely to do is take their own life. "What if they do something irreversible?" actually means "theyre not allowed to make a decision!"

You cant undo or reverse any decision you make, you can simply change your mind later and handle the consequences

I hadn't quite appreciated that every senior researcher involved in the NHS puberty blocker trial has direct ties to SEGM, a designated hate group. We have an anti-Trans, USA hard right backed group pulling the strings behind the UK NHS puberty blocker trial. It is rotten to its core. Zero Trust.
The puberty blocker trial is about to start according to the BBC, led by Dr Emily Simonoff. The same Dr who spoke at a symposium organised by Segm, a group designated an anti trans hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Centre /1

This is a dark and dangerous path.

The government has said it won’t be rushed, and I sincerely hope this means that Ministers will reject any EHRC guidance that further harms trans people.

Parliament should instead make clear in legislation that “single-sex spaces” are to be trans-inclusive.

You're not asking trans people. You're asking all people. This affects us all. Anyone could be barred from services based on appearance. Since, surprisingly we all have a fecking appearance

The new code of practice on access to single-sex services cannot gain legal force until it gets sign-off from ministers.

Today, on Transgender Day of Remembrance, we remember the transgender lives lost to violence.

Have been thinking about “immigration has been tearing this country apart.” Surely I’m not the only person to think that it isn’t true, but inflamed rhetoric about immigration by politicians is what is tearing this country apart and so statements like that only makes it worse.

As soon as a UK government of any party appoints a brown female politician as a Home Secretary my heart sinks because I know the only way she has reached that position is a willingness to cheerlead the most racist , cruel inhumane policies that no senior white male MP would dare to announce.

A Government of cowards.

Rather than tackle inequality - they've gone for pensioners, disabled people and now it's people fleeing war and persecution.

They can't get away with this.

Just wilful performative cruelty that is entirely out of step with the majority of British people.

How many Labour MPs got into politics in order to vote for stealing jewellery off of people seeking refuge from war and persecution?
