I have a story in this week’s My Weekly magazine. It is a prequel to my novel EAT SLAY LOVE and it details the exploits of Godzilla the hamster. The illustration is epic, 10 out of 10, could not ask for better.

So far, I have probably harvested 2.5 kilos (5 lbs) of olives off my olive tree this year. Today, I was out in my garden on a ladder, with a sheet under the tree, pulling down olives with a rake. This is in England!!! Insane. They’re in brine and will be ready to eat in a few months. 🫒

My trampoline exercise class had a Halloween special tonight. So I dressed like a bunny.

Despite appearances Julie is a feminist and feels that the Playboy paradigm catered to the male gaze and promoted misogyny to the detriment of many real-life women, even those who profited financially from their involvement in the brand

PhD project: together: a case study and differing views of genre in writing and publishing commercial fiction. Supervisors Professor Peter Robinson Professor Nicola Wilson Julie is undertaking a PhD by published works in creative writing at the university of Reading. She will be submitting her 2017 novel together, a commercial/literary crossover our relationship novel, and examining how different understandings of genre the market and female readers affected the composition and themes of the novel, two publishers receptions to it, and it’s publishing journey within the context of women’s fiction being published at the same time. She is the author of 30 published novels and is an experienced teacher of creative writing. She gained her BA with honours in English literature from brown university in Cambridge University, and her MPhl English literature from the university of Reading
