My ex-husband would not have qualified for a covid shot under Kennedy's new rules. Covid killed him in 3 days in 2020.

He was obese. That's not "enough" under the new rules. But he died.

I will have to argue to contend that I qualify. I don't want to risk my daughter losing both parents to covid

I just finished reading Behind The Veil, the latest Transdimensional Hunter book from John Ringo and Lydia Sherrer. Wow! What a ride!

If you like SF, you need to binge read this series. It's fantastic!

This is Amy. She was 21.

Amy crossed the rainbow bridge in the wee hours of the morning. She was a 21 year young Good Kitty.

We had had her since she was a newborn and my daughter was in 3rd grade.

She was a one girl cat.

She will be missed.

What's happening to immigrants and brown people who look like they might be immigrants under this regime is disgusting, cruel, and wrong.

Just had to say it.

ICE agents are complaining that every time they go out (unmasked/in unmarked cars) protesters are dumping pounds of glitter on them.

So people can identify them as ICE for days afterward.

Time to buy glitter . . .

Brettschneider's The Presidents and the People shows that when governments go rogue and abuse the equal rights of minorities that the Supreme Court is often, if not *usually*, on the wrong side of history, as it was yesterday.

Take heart and organize and fight. We *can* beat them.

Read the book.

We *will* shed white fur all over the black upholstery precious.

Back from the vet. Diagnosis: cat is in good health but very fat (22lbs) and his symptoms are from stress.

For this opinion I paid $420. And it was worth it.

Action plan to combat stress: moar catnip.

Biscuit at the vet. He is not a happy kitty.

Brad's sin? Asking agents for a judicial warrant.
Hi, this is Meg Barnette, Brad's wife.

While escorting a defendant out of immigration court at 26 Federal Plaza, Brad was taken by masked agents and detained by ICE.

This is still developing, and our team is monitoring the situation closely.

So with Melissa Hortman's assassination is the Minnesota state senate no longer tied?

Is this going to be something the Republicans, horrible as it is, take advantage of?

I have unfollowed alt.nationalparkservice.

Their "estimate" of No Kings Day protests appears to have been wishful thinking and propaganda, not actual, bona fide crowd estimate work.

And I quoted them, thinking they were credible. Other estimates I've seen since then have been 4-6 million. /1

Woo hoo! That's the target number engaged, now we need to work on the "consistently" part on turning us all out.

Way to go, fellow Americans!

Democracy will not die quietly in America. If there's anything we can do about it, and there clearly is, it won't die at all.

Impeach. Remove. Convict.
11 MILLION PEOPLE!! 💥💥💥

Are we nearing the magic 3.5%??

Never forget….WE hold the power.

The most fun and memorable moment at the rally came when a speaker from a progressive veterans organization said, "I want you to excuse my vulgarity, but Trump is a Punk-Ass Bitch."

This then had us chanting on and off through the rest of the protest, "Punk Ass Bitch!"

It was funny and empowering.

The Trump campaign colluded with Russian propagandists in 2016 to discredit Hillary Clinton in the Presidential election and successfully elect Russia's puppet candidate.

This is not a "hoax." This is factually what happened. Russia successfully elected their puppet again in 2024.

I just had the worst customer service experience with Walmart online.

I ordered cheap plant food spikes I really need and filled out the order with things I didn't need to get a break on shipping.

They left out my spikes and put me in Kafka hell trying to get them w/o paying triple in shipping/1

It's amazing how much of the history I was taught in school, what little there was of it that was not mere repetition of events in colonial and post colonial New England every single year in school, was just plain wrong.

Read Snyder's The Road to Unfreedom to learn some basic European history.

Over and over again Trump tells us that he thinks the Nazis were the good guys in the story.
MERZ: Tomorrow is the D Day anniversary, when the Americans ended a war in Europe

TRUMP: That was not a pleasant day for you? This is not a great day

MERZ: This was the liberation of my country from Nazi dictatorship
