is it a combination of farming animal feed, processing and transporting it, and deforestation to make grazing fields? More than the cow farts I mean. I raise animals on a very small scale, and try to feed them with kitchen scraps or open pasture, and I worry about my personal impact.

I feel exactly like you do about AI, it makes me sick. You should check out the Zizian story on Behind the Bastards. There are people who have a lot of power and money who are working towards the singularity. It's just an AI death cult really. They'll burn this planet down to get it.

I've looked into it. While it is possible, small wind turbines don't produce much wattage for the price and I get irregular wind, so at this point I'll get the most bang for my buck with more solar

Next year I plan to expand my solar array and double my battery capacity, so hopefully I'll be burning less gas

I'm living off grid for the first time this year. I rely on a small solar array, a gas generator and a 280ah battery for electricity. I also live on the north side of a mountain. So at this time of year, my panels get about 2 hours of sunlight! I feel terrible running a gas generator to wash clothes

We can still buy guns from sporting goods stores here. I have a bunch of unregistered guns that I inherited. The strongest gun laws in America would be the weakest anywhere else.

Also, experiences are so much more valuable than things. I'd rather spend the day with my friends at the beach, then go to a local bluegrass show and have a burger at a mom and pop shop than buy another cute whatever from target or amazon.

I miss reddit from the 2010s. And newgrounds, and albinoblacksheep. This is the only social media I have left. I yearn to be anonymous and post cringy memes, but I'm not that person anymore. At least I'm reading books again.
