Orchids and Rare Plants

Maker, artist, orchid grower.
We believe in the value of science and human rights around here.
Also cats and horses and random spiders.
That’s sweet and all but we have to survive that long. And more to the point, repeated assaults like this take their toll because the claw back to normal lacks a similar level of aggressive pace. Then we just do it all over again in a few years because too many either don’t learn or don’t care.

There are also geothermal solutions that involve putting large pipes way underground as a way to cool and recirculate air through the space. There are at least two greenhouse companies that offer this as an incorporated concept including greenhouse in the snow and .. ceres I think is the other.

What if you sink it into the ground about four feet with concrete walls, like a basement, then stick the greenhouse on top? You can also get tinted twinwall polycarbonate or glass to provide a bit of a light filter and in theory reduce heat gain.

Looks bigger than lava burst (?). That has little flowers about an inch high on short plants.

I kept this plant because it had some skeevy looking leaves. It’s fine, just they were a bit ugly. I had no idea it was going to bloom out completely without purples. I do hope one of the others blooms semi alba, as special as an alba is I’m still fond of the semi alba variation.
