Because people always do what their pastors say. All they have to do is say "God wants" or "The Bible says you should" and nobody questions it.
Texas is expected to be where IRS’ new stance on religious leaders endorsing candidates will matter most, one expert said. More than 200 megachurches call Texas home.

“Texas will be the epicenter for testing all these ideas out,” the expert said.

The IRS Says Churches Can Now Endorse Candidates. That Could Give Texas Pastors More Power Than Ever.
While the IRS move applies across the country, Texas — with more than 200 megachurches — will be the epicenter for pastors and congregations to test out their new influence, one expert said.

The CEO of a a multi-trillion dollar company went to the White House, openly handed the US president a gift made of gold, and his company got a special exemption to tariffs the president has illegally imposed.

Also, the Founders took bribery so seriously the Constitution bans it 3 separate times.

60% of Florida voters approved a $15 minimum wage initiative in 2020 — a bigger vote share than Trump ever got in the state.

But the state GOP is now trying to gut the law by carving out exceptions for major categories of workers.

I can’t tell if this is accidental fascism (stupidity) or deliberate fascism. But the point of due process is figuring out—through trial, evidence, jury deliberations, etc—WHETHER YOU ACTUALLY BROKE THE LAW. Without due process, they’re just locking you up based on an accusation.
Indiana congresswoman says, “You violated the law, you don’t get due process.” These are the same lawmakers who oppose Red Flag Laws because they don’t provide armed domestic abusers with … due process.

In Trump’s Washington, Words Become Weaponized (Gift Article)
The previous administration’s progressive lexicon has been swept away, replaced by a new official language of a bureaucracy under fire from its own president.

Two coders have already infiltrated the DOGE website and left their own messages on it at the time of 404’s reporting on Thursday evening: “THis is a joke of a .gov site,” said one, and “THESE ‘EXPERTS’ LEFT THEIR DATABASE OPEN -roro” said another.

The DOGE.gov website is such a coding disaster that pretty much anyone can take over.

I just tried to use ChatGPT to generate images that implied that Elon Musk was in some way elevated over Donald Trump, was looking down on him, or Trump was subservient to Musk. ChatGPT refused to generate the images. I find that more than a little suspicious.
