I adored the old long-form comics that Disney put out, namely Uncle Scrooge. Precursors to graphic novels. They *certainly* did not age well, but how they set my imagination alight when I was a kid!

They haven’t aged well, but Roald Dahl’s The Twits, and Shel Silverstein’s Lafcadio really did it for me as a kid. Also William Steig’s Abel’s Island. As an adult, i am always blown away by graphic novels - like, ALL of them, haha #kidlitchat

I listened to this for the first time this year, then followed it with the controversial American Dirt, as they’d been compared in reviews. Kite Runner much more effective and moving.

Audiobooks, and having access to them via the public library’s app. So much more willing to take a risk on something out of the box now!
