In honour of finishing my courses, my in-house mixologist (the lovely @smaisling.bsky.social) has blessed me with two cocktails: Arsenic & Old Lace and Shade Thrower.
Two Arsenic and Old Lace cocktails, served in coupes, made with Gunpowder Irish gin, Dolin vermouth blanc, Bitter Truth Violet liqueur, La Fée absinthe parisienne, and spritzed with lemon oil. Two Shade Thrower cocktails, served in old fashioned glasses, made with Buffalo Trace bourbon, Amaro Meletti, Cinzano vermouth rosso, Aperol, and Angostura bitters.

A Port of Spain cocktail (by Dominic Alling)... calls for 15ml Angostura bitters (in addition to the mezcal, orgeat, lime juice). Every time my wife took a sip she said, "This is fucking delicious"

Trying out alternatives to using American liquor if it becomes unaffordable/unavailable. An Irish Manhattan subbing Powers Rye. Verdict: it's still good.
