Morning Caro. I’m fine thanks, hope you are too. Spent 3days in London last week. A private viewing on our first evening to see our son’s painting exhibited at The Mall Galleries.(Royal Society of Maritime Artists) Nice to have a break. x

Final baking session for daughter in law’s birthday tea yesterday. Saffron buns and Pear and Almond cake. Sweet and savoury scones made earlier. There will be bubbles and clotted cream too!

Not too far away and still in Dorset. A restaurant with rooms at the western end of Chesil Beach. Have stayed here before and it’s very relaxing. Photo shows view from room and beach below. Super weather at the moment.Will be mainly walking and eating 🤣 x

Traditional saffron buns - Rick Stein has a good recipe. My grandson’s had a Swedish girlfriend and she showed me how to make their little saffron cakes in a traditional S shape. My sister in law brought back a lot of saffron for me from Dubai!

Sounds perfect! So nice to feel the warmth of the sun. Took inspiration from my new Theo Randall cookbook and made this with fresh sardines!
