No prizes for working out which side of this fence is grazed by sheep.

One side (my side) is exploding with wildflowers, self-seeded native trees, insects, and birdlife. The other is lifeless.

In the midst of an extinction crisis, there is now *zero* excuse. #Rewilding 🌎

People who have an abundance of money (more than £10m) won’t have to give anything up if we have a tiny 2% wealth tax (just £200k on £10m) they won’t out on anything. But we could raise a shed load of money to spend on the stuff that needs it - hospitals, schools - even tanks and bombs.

@kemibadenoch I'm an ordinary person in the UK. My western values (whatever that means) are, as far as I'm aware, perfectly intact. I'm free to be who I want to be, think how I want to think, say what I want to say and do what I want to do as long as it's all within the law.

The most unpatriotic members of any society are the far right. They will always align with foreign interests against the interests of their own nations. They will always undermine national institutions and national values in pursuit of their own interests. When they pose as patriots, they lie.

I've finally discovered, at the age of 61, that my true passion in life isn't gardening it's nature. Native plants, birds, insects, fungus, moss, soil, amphibians, mammals and everything else in all it's beautiful untidiness. This is the first ever catkins on my four year old native mixed hedge 💚.

We need to choose what we chew - more wisely.

My most favourite sound is the song of the Curlew. Whenever I'm near the East coast I listen out for it. Haunting is a perfect description.
The haunting bubbling display of a Curlew cutting through a crisp frosty night in Cork Harbour. There is very little that can compete with the enchantment of this sound. Isn't it sad that we have come to a point where this species is just clinging on? This needs to change.

This is a little friend of mine that's decided to live in my greenhouse for the winter. It's happily eating it's way through a pelargonium. I think it's the caterpillar of the Angle Shades moth.

Nice start to Bluesky. Notifications are a nuisance. I can't work out how to switch them off. I'm not sure why men with no interest in needlework want to follow me unless you're all secret stitchers.
