Inspiring to hear from Marwan Barghouti’s son Arab when he met British parliamentarians yesterday. Western governments should be calling for Marwan’s release, as a key player in Palestine’s future. Instead he’s tortured & held in solitary confinement.

How confusing the UK govt’s latest proscription is. Tonight Security in Parliament asked me to remove my favourite watermelon necklace. But I risked 14 years’ jail & wore it anyway - in the spirit of the suffragettes, now honoured by Parlt for fighting for justice.

How confusing the UK govt’s latest proscription is. Tonight Security in Parliament asked me to remove my favourite watermelon necklace. But I risked 14 years’ jail & wore it anyway - in the spirit of the suffragettes, now honoured by Parlt for fighting for justice.

Just finished reading Isabella Hammad’s moving novel Enter Ghost and highly recommend it. Great storytelling, conveying life, family, friendship, art and politics for a group of Palestinians producing Hamlet in Israel and the West Bank.
