Love your ethics. What can we do about the multi-billion pound companies offshoring revenue and profits to low tax/VAT regimes under the guise of "franchises" in order to pay zero tax/reduced vat on UK profits? Is a tax on revenue/turnover a workable option?

I'm one of those over 50's, paid up member since last week. As a logistics and customs specialist I see the damage brexit does every day. As a half decent human I see the damage racism, bigotry, transphobia et al do every day. I'll take progressive poilitics over knee jerk reactionism every day.

How? How will you negate customs declarations or ATA carnets? Why would the EU lose VAT revenue through increasing the limit on merchandise amd equipment value travelling under Declaration by Conduct? Why not just admit that brexit screwed us all?

The red tape (at a minimum, IMP/EXP Decs, Transit Guarantees, SPS Certs, ATA Carnets etc) cannot be removed without being part of the EU. "Oh, but Sean, what about CH?" What about CH? Declarations and EUR1's were required before we left the EU. Why? Because CH isn't an EU member,

Article currently unavailable but I hope it points out that the vast majority of that increase is down to additional paperwork (vet certs, SPS checks, customs declarations) I also assume that as most of our waters have been downgraded in quality, there are additional costs for purging and filtering.

As someone who uses dodgy streams, ad blocks and all that, I don't see adverts, but I'm curious. Who (rhetorical question) sees the people and not the product? "Nope. Can't use this game changing thing 'cause someone who doesn't look like me is in the ad. Not havin' insulin for MY diabetes!
