Here is one of the Gen Z protestors in Mexico, former president and ex Coca Cola executive Vicente Fox. He has been reported to have helped ignite the cartel wars and to have conspired with the Sinaloa cartel, using state power during his administration to target its rivals.

Rarely seen photos that painstakingly document the Soviet invasion of Prague in 1968 serve as a reminder of the limitations of authoritarian solutions.
The Day the Soviets Arrived to Crush the Prague Spring, in Rarely Seen Photos
The photographs show the shock and grief of ordinary Prague citizens, as well as residents’ efforts to impede and obstruct the plans of occupying troops.

not just that he has no constitutional authority, there isn't even any particular legal or institutional mechanism by which the president can make anyone treat this as anything other than a weird advisory opinion.
This “explicit” is a weird editorial choice. The constitution gives the president no power over this at all. It’s not ambiguous.

In Mexico the Trump regime has increased CIA operations, is targeting/ recruiting PRI party politicians into backing a US military intervention. An uptick of right wing disinformation has also been spotted amplifying mostly false allegations of cartel ties to the current Mexican president.

Hi, immunologist here:

(a scientist who studies immune & inflammatory processes)

RFK Jr is talking absolute bullshit when he says he can “see in kids faces that they have inflammation”

That’s NOT how immunology works.

He is an anti-science profiteer.
Start calling him such.

“Kennedy would be less hazardous if he decided to do cardiac surgery. Then he would kill people only one at a time rather than his current ability to kill by the thousands. Why is it that killing a single person is seen as murder but killing masses is excused if you are a politician?”

The thing about scientific research is that it’s one of the few national investments that’s a clear public good even if you entirely discount the actual ostensible point of it.
New report shows that NIH grants fueled $95 billion in economic activity and 407,782 jobs in 2024.

That's not to mention the countless lives that biomedical research has saved.

Show me a better investment than that.
