You’d hope (after you’d hoped that it wouldn’t happen at all) that if the UK had launched the invasion that led to said protracted major war, they’d have built enough kit in advance and been realistic about its lasting more than three days.

The English get what *some* of the English vote for. That’s the pain of FPTP. The English don’t vote as a bloc, and many parts of England *also* get screwed, alongside the less populous members of the Union.

I’d rather Scotland didn’t leave the Union, but who am I to stand in the way of the democratic will of the Scots if they so desire? But let’s not pretend unpicking it all will be *easy*. That’s childish.

The border that required a specific protocol with a revisionary framework - which in turn could not be ratified until a new executive could be put in place - for fear of inflaming sectarian violence? As a result of leaving a customs union rather than a sovereign entity? Sure, we’ll just do that. 👍
