Ray is adjusting so well to middle school ball. He played the whole game in right field today and laced a single to left in his only at-bat. He's seen two strikes in his two at-bats this year and put both in play. It was also a blessing that his grandparents were all there to see it. What a guy!

If we had not taken Pax home, he'd still be out there tagging out kids from the Reds. I'll have to check with the Elias Sports Bureau, but early reports indicate that he recorded the first ever unassisted quadruple play in T-Ball Opening Day history. Love watching this kid and his love for baseball!

I don’t know how I’m just now reading this, but man, what a mind on CS Lewis.

This baby boy is 6 years old today. So much energy, so much silliness, and Pax LOVES his sports. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for Pax!

Ray's team didn't win today, and he didn't get in the game. But when his team scored its first run of the season, my boy Raymond was one of the first to greet his teammate. And that's the kind of man we're trying to raise.

Another Valentine’s Day dinner with this beauty. I don’t know what I did to get this lucky, but I’m glad I did it.

Listen, my kids have done a lot of cool stuff because they’re great. But I’d be lying if I said that finding out my boy Raymond made the middle school baseball team didn’t hit different. We’re so proud of this guy, who is also in his second school play. Go Mustangs!!

This was such a fun book. If you’ve ever enjoyed Crichton, historical fiction or tales of the Wild West, give Dragon Teeth a shot.

When I went to DC on a school trip last year, I was at first disappointed that we were going to the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial at night. But there, I was struck by how imposing of a figure his statue formed at night. His work is unfinished, but I hope that we continue to chase his Dream.

My varying work experiences have allowed me to meet quite the collection of people, but few as important as President Jimmy Carter. Rest in peace to a true servant.
