I was terrified of having children because of the trauma & heartache that I thought I’d pass down. But years of help, therapy, safe people, & my awesome wife, & here I am. I can’t imagine life without them. Breaking cycles, building better, for their future & for all our children. ❤️‍🩹🫶🙏#FathersDay

I am reminded again:

When you see those moved in collective grief, permeated by anger, shouting, marching, singing, and shaking,

this is our necessary & ancient response when we know change must happen.

Listen to this grief.
It has been silenced but can never be silenced for long. ❤️‍🩹

So many survivors live in a ghost world, haunted by painfully unfinished stories. The grief is incaluculabe. Violence punctures even joyful memories by an unjust end.

We grieve what should *never* be, the horrific injustice, the burial of not only body but value. @mosababutoha.bsky.social #Gaza

I had told my four year old that I’d make homemade pasta with her, but the day went fast and we didn’t get time. So I left her a letter with instructions in case she wanted to make pasta while I was at work today. 🍝♥️

Wife says that our daughter took a nap with the letter. 😭

Audre Lorde in her book A Burst of Light:

“The point is to do as much as I can of what I came to do before they nickel and dime me to death.

“Racism. Cancer. In both cases, to win the aggressor must conquer, but the resisters need only survive. How do I define that survival and on whose terms?”
