Can't go wrong checking out High St in the Short North, either. You just missed one of the Open Streets events this past weekend (these photos are from this spring). Streetscape was fully reconstructed 5-10 years ago.

Columbus's trails are its strongest active transpo assets. Definitely check out the riverfront downtown (known as the Scioto Mile) -- it's truly a gem, with trails and lots of green space. Connects to the Olentangy trail. There's also an easy trail loop you can do (on the map).

Glad to see the new Whittier St shared use path (which carries the Scioto Trail over the railroad tracks between Scioto Audubon and Front St) has finally been paved!

not quite as clear but I noticed the same thing with the Franklinton Cycle Works ride back in October

Ironically a crosswalk just up the street has lovely curb extensions but no daylighting

The good thing about the low parking utilization on S High means it makes it easy to pass traffic when it backs up

The even better thing is that it means there’s plenty of room for separated bike lanes

A driver was dumbfounded just now when I pointed out this sign to them while they were trying to turn while I was in the crosswalk

I am convinced this RRFB is the only reason this block of great locally owned businesses on S High has taken off

And yet still, at least one person crossing had been hit here in the last few years
