I remember one random night in winter 2011 or 2012, listening to Steve Somers on a transistor radio and hoping in vain someone would call in to talk about the Mets — we deserve this one.

I'm good with all the new rules so far but this is completely whackadoodle.
Imagine if in soccer you could choose a random moment to take a penalty kick. Or if in football you could choose one drive a game to start on the one-yard line.
Too much.
