What has happened today from both DOD and DHS absolutely is further advancing the position I laid out at Law Dork over the weekend.
The Trump administration's lawlessness is front and center, on multiple fronts
The response to the shooting of two National Guard troops, reporting on the boat-strike murders, and the continued contempt inquiry keep Trump's lawlessness in the news.

When officials start demanding “full bans” on entire countries, it isn’t about safety.
It’s a rehearsal.
They say the extreme thing first just to measure the silence.
Silence becomes the green light.

Shame, all those years of SEALs & DEVGRU but Bradley couldn't spot an obvious trap set up by the world's least trustworthy people.

Of course the illegal order they gave Bradley which he followed has now become his "combat decision" for which he is responsible. It was always going to be that way.
If Admiral Bradley didn’t realize before that these cowards were setting him up to take the fall, he knows it now. Time to hire a good lawyer.

If blowing up survivors in the water was the right thing to do because they are “narco-terrorists” (trust us, bro) and deserve no quarter, why did we rescue two other survivors in a different strike, fly them home, and let them go free?

This really goes to the deep contempt they have for people. Jeffries could have said any number of plausible reasons why he doesn't want a Hegseth impeachment vote, at least for right now. He instead reached for an almost reflexive lie because he thinks people are too stupid to know it's a lie.

Extrajudicial? EXTRAJUDICIAL?! You can't even bring yourself to say "illegal" or "immoral"? You just use the most legalesed euphemism you can find? Which side are you even on, Jeffries? Because that's the sort of language you use to downplay what happened.

For some reason Democratic leaders seem to prefer telling voters what they won’t be able to do, rather than what they’d like to do.

If Hegseth ordered a war crime and lied about it, shouldn’t Ds try for impeachment? Put Rs on the spot. They might get a few defections.
