I caught this moment right before Séamus (the kitten) pounced on Mr. Beans to continue their play session. Both are polydactal, and you can see them proudly displaying their thumbs for the camera. So cute 😍

I thought this was way too high and big a year ago when they were kittens, but now I'm worried they can easily jump past the blocking panels into the shelves above. Then I will have to get a ladder to get them down.

The same goes for 99%of teacher "awards." They aren't just given, you have to apply for them. I was nominated 3 times to apply for a Presidential award. I refused because the application process was excessively time-consuming. Wasting time on that would have taken away from my teaching...
Every time I read the local news and see a teacher who was awarded a $250 grant for her classroom, I understand that she spent hours of her own time applying for it. Writing it. Going through a submission process.

For $250. For her classroom…
