3) cheat it. Cut out their hair once in photoshop or elsewhere, and then track it onto their head (using a mesh or planar track) this is also when you just digitally render the hair after the fact (re: Superman, Dune, a few other recent examples)

2) specialized tools from Boris FX that basically fix flyaways frame by frame, like using photoshop. Requires special training. This is what Hollywood does. It’s rotoscoping essentially. Also selectively refining the matte for just the hair (separate from the body)

As someone who deals with green screen constantly for work, yes it’s always a headache, there are three common solutions:

1) Key cleaner will convert and depress the lime green colors to its opposite, a blackish purple that usually blends with the background more seamlessly
