My father had polio at the age of 3. He wallked with a limp his whole life, his biceps were no bigger than my forearm. He could wrap his arm over his head and scratch his chin due to muscle loss. I can get to my opposite ear. Dad survived 86 more years. I still miss him.
Leg braces - $20-$30k, I’ve had at LEAST 6 leg braces.
Wheelchairs - $5k for manual with no bells and whistles, I’ve had 2
Medications - anywhere between $100-$2000 /month pending health issues
Surgeries - 19 surgeries $40k to - $1m inc. hospital stays
I had polio. This is the cost.

I am absolutely shattered at the passing of our kitty Midnight.
I hope we all do pass on and continue in some other realm, because that is the only thought that comforts me right now.

Well, the worst happened. Midnight passed away about an hour ago around 6:30 PM, on August 25, 2025.
She is now in forever sleep. And everyone is sad about it. And I am alone with two kitties. And my daughter is mad at me about it. And I hope we can still talk like we did before.

This man is an idiot. However "..of his adult life shooting heroine" - shooting a woman noted for courageous acts or nobility of character? Maybe he was shooting heroin - that sounds more likely.
Caroline Kennedy went on national television to warn America about her cousin...she called him a "predator." Always a private person, her speaking out was a significant step into the public eye for her. RFK, Jr.'s siblings did the same.
